Base Pay and Rate can vary from one year to another, being determined by available funding during current semester year.

MSU Chinese School is hosting a potluck party to celebrate another year of achievements of our Teachers and Students.

Please fill out an online registration form if you plan to attend the party. The registration information will really help us to prepare food and activities. The registration deadline is May 12, 2013.

If any question or suggestion, please feel free to contact

1) Offer Letter when a teacher gets hired. In the letter, essential information must be included:

- main tasks and responsibility

- pay rate

2) Certificate in honor of teaching and service when a teacher is leaving MSU Chinese School. The certificate can be packaged with other items:

- a name list of students, whom the teacher has taught

- class photos

1) The registration deadline is Sunday, August 18, 2013.
2) Please fill out the accurate registration information, which will be printed onto certificates at year end and kept in the official student records and transcripts.
3) Late registration may cause a student to have no textbooks on time, and subject to $20 processing fee. (Tuition Policy)

- Each request should be included:
Classroom number
Reservation date and time
Organization Name
- Lansing Chinese School (Nai-Kuan Yang <yangnaik at msu.edu>)

- By Nov 10 for Spring semester, and by May 31 for Fall semester
- Ask each party to sign an agreement to clarify the responsibilities, which need to be composed

Below is the details about the presentation:
- 2012 Income and Expense of MSU Chinese School
- Accept any question about our financial status

- 10:40AM – 11:20AM of February 3
- Berkey Hall 110

Here are a few things we would like to share with you:

1)  Temporary School Office (Berkey Hall 110)
– Office hour: Between 10:40 – 11:40 of January 13 and 20

2)  Safety of all our students
– please don’t leave your child unattended anywhere in the building
– please drop off and pick up your kids on time
– please ask the kids not to play with the elevators to avoid getting stuck if the elevators broke
– we have no volunteers to help us watch the kids, so please take care of your children by yourselves

3)  Student behaviors
Please discuss with your children about proper behaviors at school, including, but not limited,

– to keep the noise down during recess.
– don’t throw garbage onto the floors of the classrooms and hallways
– no running in the corridor

– respect others, both classmates and teachers

•    Prepares and implements designated curriculum
•    Give a 2-hour lecture to the students each week
•    Sends out a class note to the Parents after each lesson
•    Assigns reasonable tasks and homework to students
•    Attends the school meetings and activities as requested
